Membership Information

Regular membership in this Council shall be open to: (1) State or Department Commanders, or their equivalent, of Veterans' organizations which are either nationally recognized by the Veterans Administration; (2) or State-recognized by the California Department of Veterans Affairs in or the California Military and Veterans Code.

Catagories of membership are established as follows: Regular: Regular members participate fully in the activities of the Council including voting at meetings, and serving as officers of the Council. Affiliate: Any organization whose purpose is to support and promote the welfare of veterans and their families may apply for membership as an Affiliate Member. Affiliate members may attend the meetings of the Council and take part in the discussions, as desired. However an Affiliate Member will not vote on motions. Application for Membership Any Veteran organization that is eligible for and desires membership in this Council shall submit a letter of application to the Secretary/Membership Chair. Membership will be voted upon at the next regularly scheduled meeting. Membership approval requires unanimous approval of the voting members present at the meeting.
